"Liquid-Fire " HISTORY and BIOS

 Liquid - Fire
formed in 2004 calling themselves the "Rock 'N Rebels" as a result of a sock hop put on by a car club to which some of the members belonged . When it discovered that there were musicians in the club, they were asked if they would like to hold a one time concert. The response was so great that they have been in demand since that first show. They recently changed their name to Liquid-Fire after one of the original members left the group and two new members joined. The band plays music from oldies to contemporary music and is now in the process of recording and releasing original music.

On the local scene, they perform cover tunes and are proud of the arrangements and interpretations of the music they play that distinguishes their renditions from the original recordings. All members have been playing music and instruments all their lives and this is reflected by the talent and fun they give to their audiences. Read the following bios, hear the music and call to book this band for your next event or show.

MEMBER BIOS

DAVE LUNGO: Drums and vocals: A native New Englander who was influenced at a early age by John Bonham of Led Zepplin and started playing drums immediately. He also has the nickname "Ringo" because of his meticulous attention to detail in his drumming.

TOM TROVILLE: Keyboards, Bass and backup vocals. Tom has been playing music since his grade school days starting with guitar. His biggest influence was the Beatles for many reasons including lyrics, music, harmony and stage presence. Playing with many bands over the years, he achieved some success with his brother in the 80's and a release of a song in the late 90's that achieved a lot of publicity, air play and some recognition including BMI membership with his brother for their songwriting. Thinking he was retired from music except as a hobby, he was thrilled and excited to join again with this band and step on the stage again with such talented and enjoyable musicians. Music is fun again for Tom and the other members of the band.

LYLE ARMSTRONG: Guitar-leads/rythmn, sax and lead vocals. Lyle has been involved with music most of his life, when his mother insisted, he play an instrument and learn to read music. Lyle started off on piano but quickly fell in love with all the instruments found in 70's rock bands. He made a deal with his mother that went a little something like " I'll learn an instrument you want me to play if you'll let me learn one that I want." A Jack-of-all trades and a master of none, Lyle has taken his ability into different varieties of music and has finally found a band that will play to all of his talents. Lyle has recently returned a decorated veteran from a second tour of duty in Iraq and is excited about getting into his favorite vocation, music. He brings a lot of talent to the group with his strong vocals, guitar and sax.

TOMMY TROVILLE: Keyboards, piano and lead vocals. Tommy has been playing piano and singing since he was 5 years old and watching his dad and uncle rehearsing with their band and following them to studios to record. Tommy is an exceptional keyboard/piano player and his voice is powerful on many songs especially the originals. He can adapt his voice to sound like Lennon, McCartney and even Elvis. Whether it is a ballad or a rock song, you are sure to be impressed with his voice.

JIM CHAPMAN: Guitar and backup vocals. At the age of 6, Jim walked a mile from his house, knocked on the door of a piano teacher and asked her if she would teach him how to play Bach (Pronounced Batch at the time). His lessons only lasted a few years, but the desire to learn and play music never subsided as Jim decided to pick up the guitar. His first guitar was given to him by his brother-in-law who died from complications due to diabetes just minutes before Jim started his first guitar lesson. Music seems to follow him since he moved from Utah to Temple, NH, site of the first known town band in the USA. Six years later, Jim found himself living in a house on Penney Lane just off Abbey Road. He is influenced by roots blues music and music that really "rocks" from musicians from Buddy Guy to Jimi Hendrix to Led Zepplin to AC/DC.

BOB ROBINSON: Roadie
Bob Robinson is the "enforcer" of the group and makes sure everything is in order and no one brings harm to equipment or people. A mainstay and key member of the group behind the scenes, he is the 6th member of the band and part of the reason things are so successful. He is considered a good friend and confidant by the group and his presence makes a difference for the band.
